What You Should Know By Now
As much as we’d like to deny it, the fact remains that more people are getting infected with HIV because of objects like unclean tattoo needles. As much as we’d like to deny it, the fact also remains that more teens are getting infected with HIV because of activities like unprotected sex. As much as we’d like to deny it, the fact even remains that more kids are getting infected with HIV because of factors like unsafe blood transfusions.
And it only has gotten worse over the last few years. As of 2016, a whopping 36.7 million people worldwide were found to be living with HIV. In the same year, another whopping 1.8 million people worldwide were found to be newly infected with HIV.
Now, here’s where it gets more chilling. What seems to be a simple flu can become the cause of your early death if you’re living with HIV. You see, tuberculosis is the leading cause of death for those infected with HIV – at an alarming statistic of one in three HIV-infected people.
And here’s what you should know by now:
Be more aware of what’s happening around you.
As they say, prevention is better than cure. And one great way to do this is being more aware of what’s happening around you. This includes learning more about the disease plaguing your city or your nation, as well as knowing more about the triggers that’s causing the disease plaguing your city or your nation. This even includes coming up with your own safety measures so as not to acquire it, as well as coming up with other safety measures so as to help others not to acquire it.
HIV is a disease like no other – one that even a protector of public health cannot treat right away.
While it may take years for it to be fully known and for it to be fully blown, don’t let it ruin your life by allowing yourself to acquire it and allowing yourself to endure it.
Make others become aware.
